Lexus chose a suitably prestigious occasion to reveal its new LS in the UK – the 2012 City A.M. Awards in the heart of London.
An LS 600h was parked on the red carpet outside the Grange St Paul’s hotel, where more than 500 influential guests were attending the awards dinner. It was the first time the full hybrid limousine had been seen in public in the UK, several weeks before its official launch here.
As the event’s headline sponsor, Lexus further added to the glamour of the occasion by bringing its awesome LFA supercar into the hotel foyer and by chauffeuring guests to the venue.
The awards celebrate the achievements of London’s financial and business community and its most successful individuals and firms. The sectors covered include banking, law, accounting, fund management and trading. Guest of honour was Boris Johnson, Mayor of London, who made a speech and presented the awards.
The winners included Lord Sebastian Coe, who received the Personality of the Year award from Paul Marshall, General Manager, Lexus Marketing and Strategy.
Lawson Muncaster, Managing Director, City A.M. said “Lexus played a significant part in the success of this year’s event and we would like to thank them for this. To have the LFA greeting guests set the tone for the whole evening and the execution of the sponsorship throughout, really matched the quality of speakers, judges and winners. Our thanks to Lexus, we look forward to next year!”
