Last weekend our Lexus LFA demonstrator helped to raise over £40,000 for charity at a track day.
The annual Charity Race Experience Day at Snetterton race circuit in Norfolk saw an estimated 5,000 motor enthusiasts congregate to enjoy a 350 car motor show, aerobatic display and the opportunity to ride in one of 120 classic, race, track and supercars in order to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC).
RMHC provide free accommodation in, or close to, hospitals and hospices to families of seriously ill children allowing them to remain together during their child’s treatment.
Jon Haward, Director, Ronald McDonald House Charities said about the event: “We are extremely grateful to everyone who came to support Ronald McDonald House Charities last weekend. It was a fantastic day and the total money raised will help us provide over 1600 nights of free accommodation to families with children in hospital. Without events like the Snetterton Race Day we wouldn’t be able to keep families together during the most difficult time in their lives.”
The rare Lexus LFA took pride of place in the ‘Top Class’ of cars which gave participants laps of the famous circuit. At the other end of the scale from the V10 supercar, a Trotter Van and a DeLorean, as featured in Back to the Future, were amongst the classic and iconic cars in the Historic class!
Last years event raised £20,000 for the RMHC, but this year’s event surpassed all expectations with its £40,795.85 total.
Lexus is delighted to be a part of the event and support Ronald McDonald House Charities.
