The Loft by Lexus declared Europe’s best airport lounge

The Loft by Brussels Airlines and Lexus has been named Europe’s best airport lounge in the 26th annual World Travel Awards.

The venue in Brussels Airport was recognised for offering unrivalled comfort, technology and design, as well as a unique blend of ‘Belgitude’ (a word that expresses Belgian soul and identity) and Japanese hospitality.

“We are extremely proud to receive this prestigious award from travel industry professionals and from our customers,” said Tanguy Cartuyvels, head of customer experience and marketing at Brussels Airport.

“The Loft… is a perfect example of how working together with partners like Lexus, who are driven by the highest quality services, enables us to offer our customers an ideal environment, designed to meet their individual needs.”

Pascal Ruch, head of Lexus Europe, commented: “For Lexus, this partnership is an exciting opportunity to bring our core brand values of design and craftsmanship to a global audience, reaching beyond the automotive world.

“This is a place where people can enjoy and get to know Lexus’s spirit of omotenashi, the Japan-inspired personalised and exceptional hospitality and service experience we bring to our guests.”

Within a year of opening, The Loft has already welcomed more than 450,000 guests. Located in the airport’s Pier A, it is divided into areas with different ambiences and features, including a central bar, seating zones and a break-out space for those who need to carry on working.
