Lexus RX 450h Sport in detail

The new Lexus RX Sport fills the niche between SE grade and performance-tuned F Sport, leaving the existing Luxury grade to provide the stepping stone between SE and the sumptuously appointed Premier model.

The Sport model can be immediately identified by a series of exterior elements with a matching black finish. These begin with the spindle grille, which is framed in chrome as all other models but differentiated in having its sequence of horizontal fins painted black. The front fog lights are similarly unique in being set within all-black surrounds.

The 20-inch alloy wheels have a twin-spoke design and are also finished in black, while the side profile is further punctuated by black housings for the door mirrors – identical to those fitted to the F Sport.

At the rear, a new black diffuser treatment for the lower bumper creates a stronger contrast with the bodywork colour. It also helps to reaffirm the RX’s status as a spacious SUV with all-wheel drive capability.

The new Lexus RX 450h Sport model sits within the heart of the RX line-up. It went on sale 1 February 2018 and is priced at £51,645 on the road.
