Creating Amazing with Lexus and the new GS

There’s not long to go until the Lexus GS saloon arrives on UK roads, so adverts for the car are hitting TV screens this weekend – and we can bring you an exclusive sneak preview.

The TV ad is the first to show our new Creating Amazing message.

We recently told you that Chiwetel Ejiofor had been selected as the voice of the Lexus Creating Amazing campaign and you may have heard his silky tones on your radio.

He joins us again for this stylish TV advert, where we see the new GS glide effortlessly through town and country – hinting at the fact the car completed over a million miles in development, giving engineers the chance to refine the car to perfection.

The new GS features our bold new styling features, notably the new spindle grille also seen on the stunning LF-LC concept (recently on show at 2012 Concorso d’Eleganza), as well as the upcoming RX F Sport.

Performance has also been improved without sacrificing fuel economy. Total power output of the GS 450h hybrid is 341bhp/254kW, enabling acceleration from zero to 62mph in 5.9 seconds. At the same time, fuel efficiency has improved by more than 20 per cent to 46.3mpg, with CO2 emissions falling to 141g/km.

The petrol GS 250 is equipped with a fuel-efficient, low emissions 2.5-litre V6 engine that is new to the GS range.

The Lexus GS is available to order now. For more information about the new GS range, click here.

  1. No doubt another very good car from Lexus, but not given an even chance in a very competitive sector due to a lacklustre, forgettable TV advert. When are Lexus going to wake up and start giving their cars some well deserved street cred? I have an IS F, brilliant car, terrifying performance and reasonable fuel economy, but nobody, not even petrol heads knows what it is, which might explain why you’ve only sold 230 odd in 4 years. You need to get these cars out there in front of people who might be looking at the competition and demonstrate that they are better.

    Just my opinion
